Army Construction Restrictions:
The following army construction restrictions are currently planned for the event. Due to the rate of change of the game rules, these may (and probably will) be modified before the event.
We will lock the army construction format on August 21st 2016.
Your army may have a maximum of 1850 points.
You may take a maximum of 3 detachments/formations. Detachments and formations may be taken from BRB, current GW codexes, army supplements and campaign books. Apocalypse formations may NOT be taken.
If a new version of your army codex is released before October 4th, you must use the new codex at the event. If the new codex is released after October 4th then the old version of the codex must be used.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are using a codex which is only available as a digital edition, you MUST have the actual digital edition with you at the event and available for your opponent to read. Hardcopy versions are not acceptable (although you may bring hardcopy in addition if you wish).
Lords of War: Models with the battlefield role of Lords of War may be taken at the event. Models with this battlefield role may only be selected from current Codexes. A limited range of Lord of War models/units from Apocalypse or Imperial Armor rulebooks will be allowed to be taken (see below)

Forgeworld: Forgeworld units may ONLY be included in your army if marked as ‘40k Approved’. Forgeworld chapter tactics, army lists are not allowed (NOTE: this is under review and is likely to change to allow FW lists from the newer IA books). Experimental FW rules are not allowed.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are bringing a unit with Forgeworld rules, you must bring a copy of the relevant pages from the rulebook showing all the unit rules. Please ensure that you are using the latest rules for that unit.
Note: Legacies may NOT be taken
Escalation: Units may not be selected from the Escalation rulebook. The rules for Escalation Warlord Traits, ‘Impending Doom’, and ‘Through Attrition, Victory’ will be in use.
Stronghold Assault: The following selections from Stronghold Assault will be allowed, including all upgrade options:
Void Shield Generator, Aegis Defence Line, Imperial Bastion, Honored Imperium, Wall of Martyrs (WoM) Imperial Defence Line, WoM Imperial Defence Emplacement, WoM Imperial Bunker, WoM Firestorm Redoubt, WoM Vengeance Weapon Battery, Skyshield Landing Pad, Promethium Relay Pipes.
PLEASE NOTE: Board terrain is pre-placed and may not be moved by players. This may limit deployment possibilities if you are using the larger fortification items. Be aware of this before taking one or more of these as part of your army.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are taking items from the Stronghold Assault rules, you are REQUIRED to have a copy of the Stronghold Assault rules with you.
